The reality of planning a wedding

With the help of from stats from Statista.com, I’ve thrown together a little infographic to highlight some of the realities of planning a wedding. The statistics were published in 2020 but the data behind them was taken between 2017-2019 so won’t be reflective of the 2020 we saw last year, but should give you a good insight as to what pre-pandemic wedding planning looked like.

My guess is that post-pandemic (i.e. when we’re all creating the weddings we want without restrictions) wedding budgets will fall into two brackets; a modest budget of around £20,000 for those who don’t need the bells and whistles to celebrate their love, and those who want to splash at least £40,000 for an all-out amazing day and night with absolutely everyone they know.

Only time will tell, I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
